The Swifteq MCP Server for Zendesk connects your Zendesk account to AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. Once connected, you can ask your AI assistant questions about your tickets, conversations, Help Center articles, CSAT ratings and Zendesk configuration, and get answers based on your live Zendesk data. If you allow it, the AI assistant can also make changes in Zendesk for you, such as adding internal notes, updating tickets and drafting Help Center articles.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants use real tools and real data. Instead of exporting tickets and pasting them into a chat, your AI assistant asks Zendesk directly, in real time.

Key Facts
What the MCP Server is Not
Getting Started
What you can do with the MCP Server
- Create reports and dashboards in minutes, for example a weekly summary of ticket volume, contact reasons and escalations.
- Analyze ticket trends, sentiment and the causes of escalations across thousands of tickets.
- Review closed tickets for quality and compare agent performance over time.
- Find gaps in your Help Center and draft the articles that close them.
- Draft replies to tickets as internal notes for an agent to review.
- Let people outside the support team ask questions about support data without giving them a Zendesk seat.
For more ideas, refer to Example Prompts and Workflows for the MCP Server.
How the MCP Server Works
- You create a free Swifteq account and authorize it to access your Zendesk account.
- You add the MCP Server URL
https://mcp.swifteq.com/api/mcp/sseto your AI assistant as a custom connector, and sign in with your Swifteq account. - When you ask a question, your AI assistant decides which MCP Server tools to use. The MCP Server calls the Zendesk API using your Zendesk connection and sends the result back to your AI assistant.
Each team member can connect with their own Zendesk login, so the AI assistant only sees and changes what that person can see and change in Zendesk. Refer to Inviting Team Members to the MCP Server.
Key Facts
- Free allowance and paid plan. Each Zendesk account has 500 free calls per month. Paid plans start on October 1st, 2026. Refer to MCP Server Pricing and Free Allowance.
- No Zendesk data is stored. Ticket, agent and customer data is fetched on demand, sent to your AI assistant and discarded. Refer to Security and Data Handling for the MCP Server.
- You control what can be changed. Write access is optional when you authorize Zendesk. On top of that, the account owner decides whether the AI assistant can make changes, post public replies or publish articles, and each person can turn these off for themselves. Refer to Write Permissions for the MCP Server.
- Your Zendesk permissions apply. The AI assistant can only see what the connected Zendesk user can see, including Private Groups.
What the MCP Server is Not
- It is not an AI model. The MCP Server provides the tools and your AI assistant does the thinking and the writing. Swifteq does not send your data to any AI model.
- It is not the official Zendesk MCP Server. It is a Swifteq app, available in the Zendesk Marketplace. Both use the same protocol, so an AI assistant can use both.
- It does not run on a schedule or reply to customers on its own. It only acts when you ask your AI assistant to do something.
- It is not installed as an app in the Zendesk agent sidebar. You manage it from agenthelper.swifteq.com.
