This article details how to Reauthorize or Disconnect the Zendesk connection of your Swifteq MCP Server account.
Disconnecting removes all the data stored with your Swifteq account, for every Swifteq app on the account, not only the MCP Server. For example, if you also use Help Center Analytics, your analytics history is lost. This cannot be undone.
If you are on your own Zendesk login, refer to Connecting your Own Zendesk Login to the MCP Server instead. Reauthorizing or disconnecting your own login does not affect anyone else.

Opening Helpdesk Authorization
- Sign in at https://agenthelper.swifteq.com/?product=mcpserver. Make sure the MCP Server is the app displayed. If another Swifteq app displays, select Zendesk MCP Server from the Switch between Swifteq Zendesk Apps button.
- Click the Profile button in the top right corner and select Helpdesk Authorization.
- The Connected to Zendesk Support page displays.
Reauthorizing the App
Reauthorize when:
- You authorized with read access only and now want to add Write Helpdesk Data.
- Your AI assistant reports "This server is no longer connected to your Zendesk instance".
- The Zendesk user who authorized the connection has been removed from Zendesk or has lost permissions.
- Log in to Zendesk as the Admin or Agent user that the MCP Server should use. This can be a different user from the one who authorized it before.
- On the Connected to Zendesk Support page, in Reauthorize the app, click Reauthorize.
- Choose the permissions, click Authorize in Zendesk Support and click Allow in Zendesk.
Reauthorizing the account's connection fixes it for everyone on the shared connection. After reauthorizing, start a new chat in your AI assistant.
Disconnecting the App from Zendesk Support
Only account owners can disconnect the account from Zendesk.
- On the Connected to Zendesk Support page, in Disconnect from Zendesk Support, click Disconnect and remove all my data.
- Confirm that you want to disconnect.
If you only want to stop one person using the MCP Server, turn off their MCP access on the Users page instead. Refer to Inviting Team Members to the MCP Server. If you only want to stop the AI assistant making changes, turn off Allow any changes in Zendesk. Refer to Write Permissions for the MCP Server.
